Hi everyone just checking in. I'm travelling pretty well at this stage - currently 8wks & 2 days. I have sore breasts & nausea & fatigue but that's about it. I've had some mild cramps but they seem to have passed now (the FS said they were normal). In a way it still doesn't seem real, even though I've seen a heart-beat because I expected to be as sick as a dog (I have a really weak stomach normally) & I'm not. Hopefully everything is still ok with peanut.
I had a good chat with my boss today, she was awesome. I barely know her & haven't really spoken to her before about anything other than work issues so it was nice to speak to her a bit more casually. I've been really stressed so I asked to meet with her about that. She is really supportive of my pregnancy & understands what I went through to get here (IVF etc). I was anxious about talking to her about this, but I'm glad I did.
Currently getting my referral sent through to the obstetrician - we had to change when I found out the cost of the first one even with private health it was $2000 out of pocket! Hopefully now I will be going through the private practice clinic at the Royal Brisbane & Womens Hospital. Is anyone else birthing there?

Weirdest symptom for me so far was today...
Sitting at my desk at work and feeling very nauseous even after my ginger pill I felt like my feet were on fire, three mad dashes to the loo later I took my shoes off under my desk and put my desk fan under my desk directly on my feet.
M/s symptoms disappeared.
Whole new meaning to "barefoot and pregnant"

I certainly missed my afternoon nap today, Mondays are so hard. I have a horrible metallic taste in my mouth but no real sickness so far, fingers crossed x

Hey ladies. Wondering if you might be able to help me. So far I've been going pretty good, 6 weeks today,I've had slight pains in the front lower of my tummy ever since egg transfer, nothing to make me worry. This evening though I had some really bad cramping that I could feel right from the front of my lower tummy through to my back. It happened about 3 times in about 30 mins. There isn't any blood when I go to the toilet. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal or should I be worried?

Loco - I can so relate! I am finding that I need to constantly sip water and I'm not really craving anything else. The thought of food makes me feel a little ill but if I start getting hungry I get really light headed and nauseous. Can't win! I think I'm going to need to stick to really plain healthy food to keep the gross feelings at bay.
Mellow - I will keep that rather odd remedy in mind lol!
AngeQ - my first scan is 3rd Dec
