We go away for 7 nights tomorrow and I have basically done a full spring clean...walls included lol. I love coming home to a clean house. Dh is staying home for one more night at as he has to work tomorrow and I have instructed him to make the bed, wash and put away his dishes and give the house another good vacuum before he leaves

And when we are away....(as we are renting a holiday house) I will wash and dry all our clothes and dishes and sheets before we leave so I just have to put everything away when we get home.

I clean it before we leave so I don't have to clean when I get back. All I have to do is wash the clothes we wore when away on holiday.

I'm going away for a couple of weeks soon and plan on leaving it spotless as my family will be dropping by regularly to check on it/water plants and so on. And I would DIE if I came home, tired after a long trip etc and walked into a bombsite.

i clean inside and out for weeks like crazy up untill we leave! This is why i hate going away!!
Right before we are ready to go out the door i do dishes and put away, completely wipe and dry the kitchen sink and bench area. take rubbish out, disinfect pets bowls, disinfect bin and do one last floor mop. Turn the power off everything except fridge and fish tank. Spray glen 20 everywhere.
Beds are made with fresh sheets a few days before we leave so we come home to fesh beds.
i LOVE coming home to a nice clean house.

We clean it. I don't like coming home to a mess, no matter where we're going.

We leave the house spotless. All washing folded and put away, fridge cleaned out, unplug all appliances, we ensure there are meals in the freezer and long life milk on our return to get us by til we get to do shopping, all beds made, certainly don't leave dishes in the sink to attract cockroaches and dh makes sure the lawn is cut as low as possible. Would hate to come home from holiday to a pig sty!

I'm not even a particularly neat and tidy person, but I HATE coming home to a filthy house... so when we went away last week, I made sure it wouldn't make me angry when I returned.

I always clean it. MIL usually stays at our place while we are away to look after the dog so I like to make sure it is clean for her. She generally has it tidy (dishes done, ect.) when we get back too.
