How do you leave your house? Do you leave it as it is...beds unmade, dishes in the sink, toys everywhere, lawn messy? Or do you clean it before you go so you come home to a nice clean home?

I never leave it dirty, holidays or not. Every day dishes are done, beds made etc, and when we come back from holidays its nice coming home to everything tidy.

I clean it before we go. When I get home, I have to unpack bags and catch up on washing so I don't want to be having to clean as well.
ETA by clean, I mean full weekly clean.
I make sure my house is tidy before I leave to go anywhere so no dishes, everything in its place etc.

Clean it a bit, do all the washing, change bed sheets.

I tidy before we go (put stuff away, wash dishes, make beds) but if I don't get around to cleaning (like cleaning the bathroom or vacuuming), it doesn't bother me. But I definitely like coming home to a tidy house after holidays

We normally do a big clean up before going away. I hate coming home to a messy house even if I'm only going out for the day. It drives me insane!

Definitely don't leave dishes in the sink!
House is left tidy, but I don't fastidiousy clean everything.
My focus is on packing and triple checking I haven't forgot anything important!

I make sure:
- dishwasher and dish rack are empty (otherwise the dishwasher stinks!)
- all clean washing has been brought in/put away
- bed is made (and I normally change the sheets)
- floors vacuumed and mopped
- bathroom is clean
- fridge emptied of perishables depending how long we are going for
That way when I get home I only need to wash clothes and do a shop,
