I would take her out for dinner I do that with one of my friends. Works out easier than finding a gift.or I usually buy Westfield or myer gift cards then they can buy what they want.

T2 is a fab idea, they have some gorgeous things and at the moment it's free postage on their website till Chritmas.

Peter Alexander PJ's? I don't know anyone who doesn't like nice pjs and not many people buy PA (or much of it) for themselves.

Red Balloon have Max Brenner gift boxes. I got one which has a gorgeous tin of hot choc and 2 of the hug mugs.

Mohair throw rug in a nice gift box. I bought one at Harris Scarfe for $30 down from $100 recently.

New handbag or wallet? Strand bags have 30% off at the moment and you can order online.

Bottle of champagne and some nice flutes?

Willow Tree angel, maybe a friendship or "sisters by heart" one

My budget is around 50, if something was say 70, but was "the" gift it wouldnt matter.

    Keep the ideas coming!

An antique? Like an estate brooch or glass beads like you see in antique store? A really special tea cup/saucer/cake plate set? (I am projecting now because these are things I would like) Or trawl through a vintage store to find a fabulous old clutch purse/bag, wall hanging or collectable of some kind.

If she isn't into old stuff, does she travel? If so maybe a really nice travel jewellery pouch/roll.

Dinner out to a really great restaurant, or even somewhere quirky to eat.

I would give movie tickets to gold class or an 'experience' type present.

Does she read magazines? Perhaps a magazine subscription.
