Had my growth scan 2 days ago at 34+3 and baby was measuring at 2.8kg!!!!! I am wondering if this means I may go early? My first dd was born at 40+3 at 3.3kg the sonographer guestimated the baby could get close to 4.5 if I go over term, anyone have a similar experience I am freaking out about a possible induction or pushing out at huge bub!!!!!!

My bub was measuring 2.8kg at 34+6 and I had her at 35+3 (unrelated issue) and she was only 2.3kg so they're not always accurate!

My bub was measuring big at 32 weeks. Ultrasound said she was in the 80th percentile. Was induced at 39 weeks and she was only 3.2kg and 44cm long. She was on her side and never moved. 5 months old today and still a tiny 5.8kg and 61cm.

I wouldn't stress. My DS was 3.1kgs at 35 weeks. He was induced at 39.6 weeks and born on his due date at 3.92kgs. So he was big, but not as huge as they all kept telling me.

yep, not always accurate. I was told I was going to have a 4.5-5kg baby and she was only 3.86.

Dd1 I was told she would be tiny she was 3.09 at 40+9 days
Dd2 again they told me on the smaller side 3.37 at 42 weeks
Dd3 again very small bub she was 3.9 at 40+10 weeks
I think they are a load of cr@p I'm yet to know anyone who has had an accurate one

My scan was very accurate with ds2. I was told at 36wks that he was 7pd and would be 9pd (4.08kg) at 40wks. Babies can put on 250g per week. Bub was 9 days overdue so add that to the previous weight, by estimate bub was going to be 4.33kg. He was 4.35kg.

I think when they are estimating how big your baby will be in a couple of weeks they aren't always accurate but from my experience when they are measuring your baby they are quite accurate.
I've only had one late scan at 39+3 (ish) with my 3rd and was told he measured 4.3 kg which he did 4 days later when he was born.

Mine was pretty accurate. I was told at 36wks ds was over 3 kgs!! He was born at 38+6, weighing 4.08kgs. When i worked it out, if he was following the average weight gain for that gestation the scan was pretty well correct.

Can I ask a question? Why do you get another scan? I haven't had one since my morphology and they have said I won't have anymore so have no idea about size etc. should I be asking for another one? (Sorry don't mean to invade thread)
