    Default Skirting Boards!

Ok boring topic I know but.....

How do you keep your skirting boards clean? I've moved into a very big house and I want to keep the skirting boards clean. The walls are a beige/cream colour.

Any tips or ideas? Also how often do you clean yours?

Thanks in advance for any help

Someone once on BH recommended baby wipes and whilst it's not cheap to use them they are very effective! I tend to forget and then by the time I do it they are filthy and the wipes just clear it straight off and there are no water marks etc. I still have a heap left from when DD went out of nappies so I figure I better use them

I do a good clean every spring including walls and skirting boards. If they are dirty I will use warm soapy water and sugar soap spray for the hard bits. Other than that I just dust them over with a baby wipe.

Vacuum them while I am doing the floor, just use the soft little brush head attachment.

I once read somewhere (probably on here, lol!) I list of housework tips, and one was to pop socks on while vacuuming and go over the skirting boards with your foot while you're vacuuming.

I've also tried baby wipes. At the moment I use a slightly damp microfibre cloth. The same way I wet dust.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! I don't know how well the baby wipes would work as my house is huge I'd be spending a long time crawling around on my hands and knees

I like the damp sock idea might give that one a go. Thanks again all
