I am making a few photo books for xmas this year - can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced company? Thanks...

Snapfish have some good deals at the moment and the quality of their books is quite good.

I was going to suggest snapfish too. I've ordered their photo books before and the quality is fantastic.

I am another who uses snapfish. Bigw kmart target all have them, but I find the snapfish quality better.

Oh yes the ones I've bought from snapfish are lovely. And they run great specials all the time

Yep snapfish, never had any issues with them! I've also tried photo deals because I got a cheap groupon and they were really good too, otherwise I think big w and/or kmart do them online now too!

I use Blurb. You can download the software and make any template you like. That way you don't need to spend time uploading photos that won't get used. I used Snapfish a couple of times but found the page layouts too rigid and couldn't be changed. And I wanted to add more pages than they would allow. However that was a few years ago so perhaps the software has been updated.

I'm hunting for a good photo book printer for Christmas too.
I found Snapfish quality - for both photo prints and photo books - absolutely awful! The photos were washed out as though someone had a serious grudge and attacked the saturation slider, and the photo book had all sorts of noise and lost a whole lot of detail. I suppose you get what you pay for but I definitely wouldn't use them again.
Based on reviews, blog posts and digital mag recommendations, I've narrowed my choices down to 3 places. I'm seriously tempted to get a book from each one so I can compare for next time.

We always use Apple IPhoto books - if you have a mac it's so simple - I think the quality is a lot better than snap fish but it does take longer to get posted out so allow about 3-4 weeks
