I downloaded an app on my iPhone for boiling eggs and before that I used to do them wrong.
The correct way is to get your water boiling with the eggs and then remove from heat and set the timer depending on how hard boiled you want them.

I'm a useless egg person too!
i bought a $20 boil egg machine things that chirps when eggs are cooked. Can do up to 8 and can be as runny or hard as you like.
Also have poach pods which are amazing! DD asks for egg for every meal now!

Ok this is my future potential fail -
It's a friends birthday tomorrow, I was going to grab a woolies mud cake to take to our girls night catch up, but now in contemplating getting that and some kit kats and m&ms and doing that thing where the kit kats are like the wall and m&ms on top....I can see this failing as the icing won't help the kit kats stand up....any ideas?? Will post fail pics!

Buy a tub of the pre-made Betty crocker icing and smear some on the back of the kit kats to stick onto the cake. I made one of those cakes once and when you cut into it, the m&ms go everywhere! Also the kit kats wouldn't break cleanly so just buy the fun sized ones and leave the 2 connected :-)
