I have an Ergo performance with infant insert but my 7 week old gets too hot with the full insert. If I just use that triangular base, how should I put her legs - to one side, or splayed out? I had them sort of tucked into the full insert but I'm worried her legs will get squashed if I froggy them in front of her without the padding of the full insert to tuck them into. Thank you.

I used to put my dd in with just the triangle thing. When she was little(shes very petite) I would put her sort of squished like she was wrapped in the insert. Add she's got more comfy. . longer legs I would do it froggy legs.
