    Default Chew proof dummy

Anyone found a tough dummy that a 2yr old can't chew a hole in? DS is costing me a fortune. Gave him a brand new silicone one tonight and it had a hole in it in 1/2 an hour. Have tried latex and they have lasted a bit longer but have still gone in the bin. He has always had NUK brand. Need something tougher. And before everyone says get rid of them, yes I am going to get rid of them completely but still need them for sleeping at the moment while the 2 yr old molars are giving him trouble.

Chewing through them is usually an indicator they are no longer using it for comfort. But I have no ideas, I always took the dummy away at 3 but they never chewed through them

I feel your pain... ds did this. I got sick of buying them again and decided to just ditch them (as he was getting molars). I dont think there are any 'chew proof' dummies as they are designed simply for sucking.

The first few nights after we ditched it were tough but not near as bad as I expected.

    Good luck x

I found a Happy Baby Gummy Soothing Teether that I thought might do the trick but he won't have a bar of it.

Best I've found is Heinz brand from target. They last about a month before any cracks appear and my DS has a pretty good go at them!

With DS1 we ended up using the cherry shaped silicone ones from Kmart $5 for two, and they were such big awkward shape they proved difficult to bite.
