    Default feedback / thoughts please???

My husband and I are expecting any day and we're struggling to choose a girls name...help!

My husband likes the name 'Talitha', I like it too but am not 100% certain (it's growing on me lol). We have a fairly long last name that most people have difficulty with, so for our childs sake dont want a first name that's complicated. Yet we want something that's not everyday common either.

For a boy weve short listed the names ezra and jonah.

Would love to hear some feed back / thoughts from others?

    Thanks in advance :-)

Love the boys name, not so hot on the girls name (sorry) but I say don't worry what anyone else thinks! If you like it, use it. It's your baby. Not many people like the name we have if ours is a boy but I don't care because I love it.

    Thanks for the input :-)

We also had Grace and Hannah on our list but a close family member keeps insisting (unaware that we already have those names short listed) 'i like Hannah' 'i like Grace' and just out of principle we feel like we don't want to use those names now as knowing that person they will be like 'i chose the baby's name!' (i know, really really stupid and petty reasoning for striking names on our part, someone tell me to build a bridge and get over it ).

Wasnt so hard with our other children, the names we chose just jumped out at us and we knew immediately, and early in the pregnancies, those were the right ones. Not this time though

Miados does she have a nickname? I'm thinking a Talitha would get Tali (Tally) but could be other variations I haven't thought of!

I would use Ezra for a girl too, have you considered that?

Maybe you could try the coffee shop test for the girls' name? I quite like it, go somewhere that asks your name over the counter and calls it out when your order is ready. That way you can see if it's too tricky!
