    Default Am I crazy? ....

    Im shy to ask, but...
36 weeks pregnant now, and started in last few days.... ive noticed im edgy, jumpy, also noticed that I hear things... things banging like blinds ect.. knocking.. arouns the house more then usual. ..
But then also shamefully to admit... I see things too or think I do? Am I mental? This has never happened before. .. am I the only one? Who has experienced this?
Its actually scaring me because im unsure....
    Thanks

What kind of things are you seeing?
I think the noticing of hearing things could be out down to stress impending baby's arrival ?

Are you getting enough sleep?? I know when I don't I get a little funny like thinking I see things out the corner of my eye, hear noises ( not voices or people talking to me though)

Maybe talk to your doctor about it

Surprisingly a large number of people do experience auditory/visual hallucinations at various times in their lives. Are you stressed, tired or feeling fine? I know when I birthed my children, my ancestors were there in spirit a few weeks before baby arrived (not everyone would believe this which is fine). Is this a possibility for you? Are you 'mental'? Nah, most likely not If you are worried then talk to your GP or midwife.

I had this toward the end with DS. It was like a flicker or shadow out of the corner of my eye. I'd totally forgotten about it until this thread. How's your blood pressure?

Id mention it. I had high bp the whole way and was on lots of different meds, are you on anything for it? It's so strange thinking about it now, I'd completely forgotten and it was exactly as you described.

definitely bring it up with care providers. It could be something physical or it could be something like antenatal psychosis. Either way, early diagnosis and treatment gives you the best chance of limiting the effects.

    www.panda.org.au also has some resources.

    take care of yourself.
