Default Starting 5 month old dd on food

Hubby and I have recently started dd on some solids. I was just after some recipe ideas? I don't want to just give her bland/boring food. I plan to move onto doing blw however we don't have a high chair yet so we're currently feeding her mashed foods.

My DD is 5 months old too and I'm
going to start her on some solids I'm the next few weeks. I have a recipe book and a few in there are: roast pumpkin, chickpea & spinach mash and tomato, lentil & sweet potato mash. Happy to share the recipe if this is what you're after

You know puree and mashed is fine. Try almost anything!! A fav here was roasted sweet potato mashed. Then I added stuff to it like salmon and chicken. My dd loved apricot chicken. . I'd make it for us thrn whizz it up for her.
You can do pretty much anything. .. veg and fruit to start is good. Let baby play with it and get messy.
If you're looking for a good chair those snugs (like a bumbo) are great!!

I'd try and find a 2nd hand tray for the bumbo, my DS3 is 4 months and he's started on some purees the last week and I find it so much easier to feed him in the bumbo. We got our tray for $10 off a facebook buy sell garage sale site.

Im boring, we have to start very simple due to DS3's reflux and cmpi.

Haha don't worry I feel your pain, I sometimes use the walker to feed him but he's now learned to walk backwards in that and he walks away from me and smirks lol.
