Probably a good idea to take your own advice, especially since you are trying to attract someone to be your surrogate and not the other way around.

I don't think she was intending to be rude. She even offered a handy suggestion for you. :-)

I checked out that link. Thanks so much persephone53, it's really helpful. It explains everything in nice easy terms and doesn't have too much technical info. Does anyone have any recommendations of a lawyer in the Sydney area? I live in the Blue Mountains which is about an hour from Sydney. I would pm but I don't know how to do it. It seems so complex, but I realise every person involved has to be cared for and considered. The desire to be a mum again is so strong I feel I have the strength to do it. Hell I feel like I could do anything after the struggles I've been through over the last 5 years. No one can take away our determination girls. x

The surrogacy lawyers tend to practice across the States, so they don't need to be in NSW. If you don't have a surrogate yet, you don't need a lawyer yet. Your fertility specialist is your best starting point.

I have a surrogate. She's a friend of mine who has 3 children of her own and has a huge heart. Her new partner is accepting of her decision which is also amazing. I'm so incredibly thankful of their generosity. I'll ask my fertility specialist. In the mean time, ill search a couple of lawyers on line and see what they can tell me.
