Default Water birth at Frances Perry??

    Hi,

I would love to have a water birth and am booked into Frances Perry. Has anyone water birthed there? When I was in labour with my first the last of 3 midwives I went through in 17 hours said she would do it under the condition I said I couldn't get our of the tub but I know my OB is against it so i am not even raising the question with him. I'm attempting a VBAC so may end in another Caesarian but am interested to know if anyone has successfully had one there?

I had an accidental one there. My ob turned up & asked me to get out but it was too late & I couldn't. So he pullled the plug out but she was born before the bath had emptied much. To be honest it wasn't the greatest as I was just hurrying up the pushing so that I didn't have to get out, but my original plan had been to breathe baby out. That aside, I think that the water birth probably helped me to birth a 4.4kg baby without tearing so I was very happy about that. It hadn't been my original intention to have a water birth but she just came very quickly.
