Tote bags would be awesome, ZE!
I have my own question (sorry to hijack OP)- would others get presents for carers who don't celebrate Xmas? In DS room one of the carers is Hindu and the other is Christian but doesn't celebrate Christmas. Would you still get them something? I'm leaning towards yes, I think it would be nice to get them a thank you gift at the end of the year.

FL- i still would but maybe wrap in non christmassy type paper and have a 'thank you' card instead of a christmas card?

I wrote on another thread. My DD gave her FDC worker a pot she painted with a plant in it. Another year a paint it yourself mug filled with chocolate . I also gave a massage voucher as a thank you as DD was finishing with the teacher. This year I'm going to use a photo her carer has sent me of DS playing. And make it into a calender. I'll use one with the other kids in so they are all included. There are only 4 other kids.

Last year I bought a tin of bikkies and tea and coffee (herbal tea bags and latte/cap coffee sachets). They seemed to go down well with all the carers. This year I have no idea - its our last year and I want something really great to thank all the carers.

So many teachers/carers on here through the years have said that they get inundated with chocolates, lotions/potions, bath bombs, coffee mugs etc, so wanting to avoid that, in the past I have given a pot with flowers growing and put a little laminated sign in the soil that read 'Dear Mrs......Thanks for helping me to grow, love........'.
I have also given Gloria Jeans vouchers so they can have coffees to the value of $30-$50 and Coffee club vouchers so they can have a lunch for two etc.

Maybe search on Pinterest for Teachers Gifts - same as Etsy and find some ideas that way?

One of my favourite gifts that I received when I was working in child care was a set of 4 homemade salt dough ornaments that the child help make and decorated. Makes me smile every year I hang the up.
