Default Worst mother ever! What do you think?

Ok I'm not one who usually judges parenting styles! But when I saw this I was absolutely appalled! Those poor babies!!!!

One of my sheep abandoned her twins!

    Gotcha!!!

No but seriously, I don't think my sheep were meant to be parents. This one abandons her twins and my last one died giving birth!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, poor lambs. I know my uncle used to tie the ewe to the fence and tie her back leg back out of the way so lamby could get in for a drink. But maybe that is the old school way of doing things. Are you bottle feeding them?

I've been trying all day to get her to stay with them. My FIL is coming up to catch her and put her in a pen with them so she can bond

My parents have a couple of sheep and one in particular abandons it's babies each year. Very sad, although I think another mummy sheep had taken over and fed the lambs. You'd think the Ewe would take measures to not get pregnant if keeps abandoning them! ;-)

What sort of sheep are they? Merinos are quite good at forgetting they have babies - especially if it's their first pregnancy.

We have a bit of a mixed mob lol. We sort of get the rejects from my FIL (he's a farmer, we bought our block off him and my MIL) so every now and then I get a new sheep in my mob lol. but this particular ewe is a dorper.

Awww... does that mean you now get to play the mama and bottlefeed it?

Because that sounds like an awesome job!

I grew up on a farm, and we always had quite a few "orphan" pet lambs, who got abandoned.

We just fed them basically on sunshine milk until they were old enough ... was always fun. As they get older, its hard to feed them as they pull the teet off the bottle
