Default What's your job/ career & do you love it?

    Hi all,

I'm just interested to see what kind of careers other hubbers have.

I'll be on maternity leave at the end
Of the year and am thinking about a career change when I eventually return to the work force.

I am a secondary school teacher and USED to love it. I taught full time for about 10 years before completing my Grad Dip in careers Education and development. I found my forever job and loved it! Worked there for 2 years, had a baby came back from maternity leave to find that management had screwed the place up and major enrolment drops in the school were the result. As I was one of a team of 4 careers counsellors and one of 2 that wanted part time work, and they only wanted 2 full timers, I was made redundant. I now find myself back in the classroom and hating every minute of it. I still take pride in my teaching and the relationships i build with my colleagues and students, but im not inspired like i used to be.

Can't wait to get back into careers counselling but the jobs are few and far between and with Squirt due to make an appearance in May 2014, I just have to suck it up for now.

I work in HR and absolutely love it. However entry level HR jobs are few and far between so I probably wouldn't recommend a career change to HR unless you have experience in that kind of role already.

I'm a real estate agent - sales- I loved it more before having DS as it's really not a job you can do properly with small kids due to the long hours ( mostly after hours and weekends )

I work as business analyst on a large IT project for a university in Melbourne it's a new role for me as previously I was an IT development role. I like it and the money is good but don't love it, when I eventually get knocked up (we are TTC number1) and go on MAT leave I have no intention of going back to it

    Im a process technician.
I work at a large steel making company.
I drive forklifts and cranes, operate machinery, pack coils and do awful hours.
Shift work has its ups and downs I guess. The money is amazing, the job is not very stimulating and the hours are terrible.
With number 1 due in June 2014 it wont matter though as I dont think ill go back after bubs!

    ♡♥number 1 due 5th June 2014♥♡
