Are shops in Perth open on Sundays now?
Anyway, I've been thinking more about this thread and for now, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I have a lot of friends on the coast, and have considered it but the amenities aren't there. Right where I live, we have 3 playgrounds within walking distance that we go to regularly. We have a huge fully enclosed backyard. I have 7 mother's group friends who all have kids the same age. We live very close to the beach. We live close enough to the city but not too close that it's crowded, no parking, living on top of or below others in a unit or semi-detached or terrace, close to public transport and 10 minute train ride to city, but we also live far enough that we have space, bushland nearby that is walking distance. It is perfect for us right now.
I won't say that we will stay here forever, but for now, it ticks every single box.

Haha yeh the shops are finaly open here in Sundays! Now all we need is DLS and we will be measuring up with the rest of Australia lol
I was born in Perth and lived here my whole life so I'm used to it bring a little boring. Tbh I wouldn't have it any other way. So many people move here temporarily (from either interstate or O/S) and love it here so much they stay here. I guess it depends on what sort if person you are. If I had come from Melbs or Sydney I probably couldn't adjust to our Perth lifestyle. Especially Melbourne! Such a buzzing city! In saying that I don't know what the outer suburbs of melb and syd are like (except Geelong as I have family there and visited there quite a lot back in the day) but I think we have some amazing clean, family friendly suburbs here.

It depends on my stage of life. Right now, with a family I wouldn't live anywhere else than where I do, Tasmania's Huon Valley.
However, post children DH and I want to be living in Hobart's CBD, in a lovely apartment complex

I would go back to Vic again. It just feels like home there. But DP would never move there so I'm stuck up here which sucks.
