Wow, away for a few days and so much happens on this thread.

I have my NT scan today, have to drink two glass of water an hour before. Do they not realize what a pregnant ladies bladder is like?

    Thanks orchids - grins

ABH - I agree if I don't check in for one day I get lost . Hope you had a good time away. Good luck for your NT scan not that you'll need it

AFM - serum blood test tomorrow at Murdoch Children Research Institute / RCH. Hubby has to do a DNA mouth scrap with a brush they gave me before he goes to work that I take with me to help them ID juniors DNA in my blood. Pity it takes 10days to come back from USA as can't wait for results and to find out the sex

I really appreciate all the words of support Ladies. Well I'm still not able to keep anything down so they are going to place a "long" or "pick" line in, which is basically a permanent catheter. I will need to be on fluids every day through this and a different anti nausea/reflux drug. If I am still unable to keep anything down then it will lead to gastric feeding. Yuck!! I hope not. The line could stay in for a few weeks or even the rest of the pregnancy. Whatever works!! Doesn't sound like it's going to be enjoyable and I probably won't be able to work at all.

Goodluck for those having scans and bt. Take care

Oh Amps that sounds awful hun - I hope it resolves itself soon and you can start keeping stuff down. Big hugs for you

Good luck today ABH, fingers crossed you can let us know soon that everything looks great and bubs comes back very low risk

Jay, I know what that 10 day wait is like! Although the test I had sounds a little different to yours it was agony awaiting the results. Just try to keep yourself busy and the next week and a bit should go fast.

My eldest niece gave me a big hug the other day and I was surprised how big my uterus felt when it was being squished. I'm becoming aware of the weight in my belly now. It seems silly, but I don't think I realised that those beautiful pregnant tummies are actually quite heavy!!

Amps you poor thing. I had a PICC line when I got really sick earlier this year and it isn't nice. Keep an eye on it and report any pain, redness or swelling in your arm immediately as they can quite often lead to blood clots (this is what happened to me), and this is more likely if you are preg.

Honey I truly hope this all passes really soon for you and you get back on your feet. Xxx

Goodness me, so sorry to hear that Amps and to know you've had such bad nausea.
After all we have been through with ivf and just trying to get a bfp you'd think we could atleast have an easy pregnancy!!

    Take good care

Oh no Amps! That sounds like a rough ride, especially after IVF. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes your body responds soon so it doesn't have to last your pregnancy. xxx
