Thanks seahorse and arlais. You've made me feel a bit better. Wanted to be reassured by today but am just feeling sad. I have my first OB appt on Monday seahorse but I don't want to wait the weekend before knowing what's happening. I might call tomorrow and see if I can have another scan on Friday to see if it's actually growing.

You're better off waiting the week out hposs - it can make such a difference! That and it's generally a long time between scans as you progress, so "peace of mind" scans can end up costing a fortune.
Ngaiz - I got an authority script first time, so I shouldn't have any trouble getting another

Lotsa that's great you like your midwife and your low risk! Yay!
Oh Bedlover that's so funny!!! That's something I would do! Lol
That's fantastic rtkirk!! So happy the results were all clear Can I ask if you still get the 12/13 week scan or do we wait for the 20 week scan after we've had our 10/11 harmony one?
Arlais. It's good you have an explanation now and can take precautions..
Has everyone decided I'd you're finding out if its a boy or girl? I've always wanted to wait but DH wants to know.. I don't think it's going to work if 1 know and 1 don't? I'm hoping I can convince him but at the moment he's not budging!!

Arlais sorry to hear you still have to take the clexane injections. Hope you get your verify results soon.
Hposs I was 3 days behind at 7 weeks, then 4 days behind at 9 weeks then exactly on schedule for my 12 week scan. Try not to worry.
Jay my DP and I announced it to my mum by saying we had this cool new movie we thought she might like- and it was of our scan. She laughed. We are also going to post an pic on fbookwith a glass of beer, a glass of wine and a baby bottle of milk. Just a bit different then posting the scan photo which personally freaks me out a little.
ABH I did fall asleep at my desk last week- lucky no one saw! I know exactly how you feel.
JJ I had a 9 week and 12 week scan. The 9 wk 6 days scan was when I did the harmony test and the 12 week was to check heart, spine, blood flow, bones, etc. I think that you still need that scan unless your 10/11 wk scan checked all that stuff.
I said to my DP that he could find out the gender but wasn't to tell me JJ. If he let it slip I got to name the baby whatever I wanted! Yeah he turned me down...
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all going well.

Sorry to be absent yesterday sounds like some great scan results!
Arlais - I used Emla cream to numb the injection site. I do it 1.5hrs before even though they say 1hr on instruction. Helps me a lot - less hesitant to stick myself. Have a few areas I found don't bruise and two spots they bruised bad this far but doing ok. At least you know you need them. I'm taking them as my FS wanted to
Play it safe after my blood test came back positive

rtkirk - love your announcement ideas. I still don't know how we will do it.
Friends & family for us are all scattered (a few overseas, in NSW and Qld oh and some friends in WA & SA) and we are in Melb. My dad (don't talk to my mother or two of my 3 x siblings long story) & his girlfriend are travelling until Dec so makes it even harder as only have a random SIM card he got to keep in touch through SMS.
We aren't planning on traveling for Xmas either this year as have lots to get down around they house - especially now grins.
I know a ph call would do but would like to do a little better then that! FB will be last to know hopefully -once with personally told close friends & family.

Hi Hposs and Seahorse, at my first scan I was meaduring 5 days behind and it was too early to even see the yolk sac or anything. My doc was concerned and said it could go either way but a week later they heard a heartbeat and although it was still 3 days behind they weren't concerned at all. My doc (who is a fetal medicine specialist) reassured me that once they heard a heartbeat your chances of everything being ok significantly increased to like 90%+. I know it's hard not to worry but they would have told you to come back if they were worried. By 12 weeks, my bub was 5 days ahead. Go figure!
I saw my Obs this morning and he told me he's not concerned about my 'high risk' for Downs Syndrome at all and old me to stop worrying. He said there is a 99.32% chance everything is fine. My scan looks good and low Papp A is common and rarely means anything. Obviously he can't guarantee it but he's pretty confident all is ok. Of course I will still worry but will try o keep it in perspective.
I will be having a c-sect due to a uterus full of fibroids, and I've had one previously. My Obs has already booked it in for 10/4/14!!
Hope everyone is keeping well.

I've missed out on so much here, being away on holiday in Canberra for the last week.
I think I'm 7w1d today. Nausea hit me right on 6 weeks; with the result that I actually lost 2 to 3 kilos while I was on holiday, because I just wasn't up to eating much. First scan on Thursday morning. When it gets to that point early next year, DH and I are definitely going to find out whether we're having a boy or a girl.

(yes i copy and pasted lol, im super tired and have to get ready for work!)
Well i got my scan today The lady said so ok they know your edd, why are you getting a scan? I happily said "paranoia" She just laughed. Lil minion is doing well, HB at 176bpm and constantly moving and shaking all around, add to that the yolk sac that looks like a balloon and its having a raging party in there So much happier and less stressed now And its measuring what it should be perfectly! EDD is definitely the 14th May. I would post the pictures but i never remember how to on this forum!
I still haven't bought a single thing, i guess maybe because i didn't want it taken away from me after i start buying stuff and also it still doesn't feel real?
