Anyone have tips for helping bub get through a 40 min sleep cycle? He's waking up after one but desperately needs the 1.5-2 hours he was having.

You can try standing by him and patting him through it when he starts stirring. If he likes patting. Or tummy rubbing. However he normally settles. Unfortunately Meadow still wakes after each sleep cycle but I can usually get her back to sleep this way for her long afternoon nap. Mornings however, no. She's done! I read to try for ten mins and if no joy get them up so you don't get too frustrated.

My Toby eventually grew out of this though and started napping for longer again.

Rainbow, I replace Lucy's dummy and re-tuck her sheets/blankets firmly. On most occasions will get her to a second 40-45 min cycle, unless she has decided that it is time to party

I use to pop dummy in when Ava was younger and stroke her head to get her through but it no longer works. I often find myself going for a walk if she wakes after 40mins to give her the extra sleep.

Toni could River be teething? It's so hard when they are out of sorts, much more tiring. Hopefully it's a phase that passes
