    Thanks ladies. I find it so strange that people would spell it or pronounce it incorrectly as you spell it exactly like it sounds and vice versa. Think I'm going to go for it :-)

    I have had a couple of people think it was Elise, but who cares. As someone else said, there will always be those people! Most people tell us they love it as it's a beautiful old fashioned name. Most people also tell us they had a Great Aunty Elsie or their grandma was Elsie!!
