I got one when I had just turned 18. My mum was dead against my top choice so together, we chose a cute little devil off the wall.. By the time I was 22, I hated it and at 24/25, I had a few laser removal sessions (ouch!). The tattoo is extremely light now. While I haven't had a session in a little over 2 years and it is still fading, I think one more session will be needed to completely remove it. :-/

I have 9 all up and of them I regret 3. I will definitely be getting them removed. But the others I feel like they are just me. I wouldn't be myself without them on my skin.

I regret my first tattoo at 18, typical common kanji symbol. I like my others, sort of anyway, one of them I designed/drew up myself but now I don't like the placement of it. I'm getting another bigger one on my back in a couple of weeks for my birthday which I also drew myself, with much more thought into the pic and placement. I do like the fact that my tatts are unique and not just picked out of a book

I have 7 tattoos, no regrets. If I wanted anything changed I would get my DH to fix them, he is a tattooist.
He hears many stories of regret and downright stupidity. A third of his work would be cover ups.
