My dad runs a canteen at a soccer club, we do hot dogs, toasted sandwiches, ham burgers we just grill to order, sausages rolls pies, salad sandwiches in the sandwich triangles! we also do hot chips we have a deep fryer by far the best seller!

Sounds good, just make customers aware that there's a x minute wait for a pie because they're fresh cooked.

Toasted sammies is also an excellent idea.

Could you get a small deep fryer (like one you'd use in your home kitchen) and do hot chips to order?

We made pies last night for a trial run and they looked great! Just like real pies! Excited!

Oh, about the hot chips. I know they would sell like hotcakes but my canteen is quite small and my five children and in and out of there all day, and my 13 year old works the canteen in the afternoons and Saturday mornings when I'm teaching so I'm too scared to have hot oil in there.

I'll do up a sign saying pies made fresh in 5 minutes or whatever. Thinking hot dogs too if I can do them safely with the hot water.

My mother in law suggested egg, bacon and cheese pies. How would they taste? I don't eat pies or bacon. She said just crack the egg then ripe with cheese and bacon and pop the lid on, easy!!

Egg, bacon and cheese is delicious! Do you need to check with your local council regarding food regulations and selling hot food?
