My anniversary is just around the corner and my lovely inlaws are going to watch the kids so my husband and I can go out for dinner. Yay! We have just moved to Brissy so a bit clueless about good restaurants. It doesnt need to be fancy .. just yummy food! Also open to different cusines. We are in the Norman Park area but happy to travel nearby. Any recommendations wld b great! Thanks!

Some that I like...Cabiria (at the Barracks...wine list is amazing), Citron in Wilston (modern Asian cuisine and very delish), Caravan Serai (Turkish restaurant in West End), Libertine (French/Vietnamese at the Barracks), Ortiga (Spanish, in the valley), Montrachet (French, in Paddington), Beccofinos (Italian in Teneriffe), Olé (Tapas restaurant in Southbank...the sangria is fabulous), Ortiga (Spanish, in the Valley), Wagaya (Japanese, in the Valley), Mecca Bah (Middle Eastern, in the Valley). I'm sure i'm forgetting some. The Gunshop Café in West End is great, but I have only tried Breakfast and Lunch. I'm sure dinner is good too though. I have also heard that 1889 Enoteca in Wooloongabba is great, but I am yet to try it

^ Sorry if the post is difficult to read. My computer won't let me make paragraphs. I was going to add that there is also always Aria (Matt Moran's restaurant, on Eagle Street pier). I haven't tried it though.

Montrachet in Paddington or Restaurant Two in the city would be my picks for an anniversary dinner. I also like Ortiga in the valley or for something a bit more casual (but still yummy) Piaf Bistro or Next Door Kitchen bar in Southbank.

For something local to you Cinco Bistro in Camp Hill also has yummy food.

Hello! I'm a Morningsider so we're really close. Couldn't resist saying hi!

my absolute favourite restaurant in Brisbane is the Summit Restaurant on the top of Mt Coot tha. It's beautiful, you can see forever. And romantic!

Cinco bistro at camp hill and rapide also at camp hill used to be very good. Can't say I have been to either recently though.
