Default CCR as a lump sum?

    Hi guys.

Hubby and I submitted our tax returns in early July and had our tax refunds process by the end of July. My accountant told me that Centrelink automatically processes the CCR into your account after they have received the info from the ATO etc but we still haven't received anything, anyone got any experience with how long it takes???

I have just been avoiding calling because I just looooove sitting on hold for an hour I submitted the claim for it to be paid annually on line but when I went to check it said fortnightly so I added a new claim annually to make sure they had a correct one....

There is somewhere on the centre link private login where you verify your earnings(what's on your tax refund notice). I did that the night after my tax was done a received a lump sum from centrelink a few days later. Mine was for FTB but CCB is usually similar times

Centrelink don't do it from your tax return. You have to submit a claim on the centrelink website for the CCB (even if that amounts to zero) and the CCR. We do it every year and it usually takes 2-3 weeks to get your money.

Thanks for the reminder that I need to submit mine

Sorry should have clarified I had already submitted the claim through Centrelink online with accurate estimates of income before the returns were paid but I haven't updated anything on the website since we got the return? I'll have to log on again and see if I can find an area to put that in...

Sometimes (always for us) the ATO forgets to inform centrelink....

Thanks for your help all, I ended up phoning Centrelink yesterday, they had finalised my claim in August with a $0 benefit because the child care centre hasn't sent any records through... Fortunately it's all sorted now!
