Default Treatments for heavy bleeding, good and the bad?

I am 6 weeks post partum. Prior to both bubbies and between I had very heavy periods. My whole life really. I was on the pill but now can't take it due to other medication that is non negotiable. I am done with pregnancies. I am interested in non pill treatments. Probably IUD or endometrial ablation. Interested in hearing people's experiences good and bad with either of these in terms of how it treated their bleeding. Thanks.

Mirena is possibly an option but lots of people have reported emotional side effects.
