While the article claims that only 877 died under Labor, a simple count (aided by the excel spreadsheet that was linked to) shows that it was in fact 1055 (1091 if you included the 36 who drowned on 27 Sep - as Abbott was only sworn in a week prior to that one). Either way, 1100 is a pretty good figure I would suggest, especially when you included the following sentence from your link:

but there is no doubt that deaths at sea have occurred and have not been recorded.
    Great factchecking!

Maybe you should check the 'factchecker' BigRedV.

You don't really contribute much to this thread BigRedV other than just posting links, pictures, or videos with nothing more than a one liner or a smiley face.

Do you still think the previous 'factchecking' link of your was a "fantastic"?

Good on him for taking time out of his day to give students a chance to ask him questions in front of parliament. And without getting the media circus involved to keep the news cycle going. Don't think I can recall the previous PM's doing that.

Are you smiling at the poster's inability to spell his name?

ETA: I guess you won't answer that question either. Just post another random link about something else without any original thought?
