Hi all I have been working in my job since the beginning of march after having dd I have been casual the whole time but have had regular shifts. I'm now possibly having the option of a slightly different role in the same job as perm part time and one hour less per week. We are ttc at the moment and just wondering where I would stand with mat leave (there is no paid mat leave but just get my job back mat leave).
Would I have to do the whole working for 12 months thing starting again now or would some of my casual time be included??

Casual to perm part time and mat leave

When I fell pregnant I had just received a promotion (whoops) and was still entitled to maternity leave... I believe it's the total time you have worked for the one company/organisation, rather than position. But as you are a casual I'm not totally sure the same rules apply

Also, good luck with the new position and baby making

If you have had regular casual shifts for 6 months then I would absolutely say that time would count towards your 12 months service, and I'm certain FWA would agree!
