I realise this thread was created in 2013 and I'm hoping your account is still active. I'm new to Perth. I moved here with my husband and my 8 year old daughter after living in Kuala Lumpur for 9 months. I'm from the Philippines, my husband is from the UK, we are having a little girl who will be here in May.
I've been looking online for mother-child groups to join as I wasn't aware until yesterday that the school holidays are every term and that most places that do kid's activities to keep them entertained are full by the time the holidays begin. So now my husband wants me to look for things for our daughter to do to keep her occupied and so she's not sat in front of the tv all day long. Plus, he thinks it's important that I meet people that I can talk to. We went through this similar process in KL last year and it was not easy to look for somebody to hang out with. In the end, I found one who was also from the Philippines, used to live in Perth and we hung out all the time. And then we moved here so now I have to start all over again.
I'd really like to meet up and hang out just to talk and with you having been living here for almost 6 months, I think I can learn a lot from the experiences you've already been through
my email is firstname.lastname@example.org
hope to hear from you
