    Ok I see you are in WA. Regulations over there is plans have to be signed off by an engineer unless things have changed. That can be anything upto $1600 on its own. I drew my own plans and provided all the specifications etc and I think it cost me $400 for a rubber stamp from an engineer around Fremantle somewhere.

    A company just quoted us $36000- in NSW. They were a renovation firm, and that was all inclusive
