Is anyone planning a side trip from Zlin in the time between retrieval and transfer?

Last time we went I was really tempted to go to Russia for a few days as they fly there from Brno however they don't fly everyday so the days never matched up. We ended up going by train to Prague both times.

And yes, organisation is my middle name!

We're going to London for 4 days before the cycle starts, I made sure we get a flight back to Prague the day before our first appointment. I think we plan on going to Prague for a day trip between retrieval and transfer, I would LOVE to go to Russia but would be nervous of doing so in the winter because of getting stuck. If we were going in summer I would be all over the place

Yes! I would just love love love St. Petersburg in the summer or spring. I always see those pictures of the palaces with beautiful gardens and flowers. Russia oddly interests me, it's kind of a curiosity really. They've got the history related to the Tzars, the communist side and the huge contrast of all those millionaires and still so many people in poverty. It'd be interesting to see, and that architecture of those Russian Orthodox churches! I think if we did end up going in winter I would have been wearing a giant super warm snowsuit with built in heaters everywhere!
I love London!!! I'm so tempted to come in your suitcase!
We overnighted in Prague, we didn't take any luggage, just a change of underwear and some toiletries in a backpack! Hands down the best time for seeing tourist sights in Prague was about 8am, it was beautiful. I got a photo with the astronomical clock, there's not a single other person around, just me! Also we had Charles Bridge pretty much to ourselves!

We originally looked at St.Petersburg when we first looked at DEIVF. Probably 3 years ago now, we were just getting comfortable with the idea.

Good idea for only taking a backpack to Prague I may steal that idea from you

The first time we went we flew through Finland and went to a place called Porvoo, which is near the Russian border not far from St. Petersburg. If that was anything to go by I think that parts of it would be magical!

It's funny because we looked at DEIVF in Russia too but we were almost certain that DH wouldn't get a visa for Russia because of his work. A place called AVA I think it was, lots of Brits go there.

Yes that's the place!! We had a good look but we were still doing IVF with my eggs and I think when we finally decided to do DEIVF we decided on Cape Town. If I were going to go to St.Petersburg it would need to be at Christmas or in the summer

Maybe someday soon that doesn't involve clinics and meds

Crystal do you have to start taking the drug beginning with E (forgot) is it Estrimax, whatever, you know the one, pre-pregnancy, 3 per day, on the 7th of Jan? Then the first scan ten days later, right? For us that's going to mean a scan the day before the plane flight pretty much. Are you on a similar schedule? Paranoid Eva might have made any mistakes so I'll end up on all the wrong drugs on all the wrong days. Just fears I think xxx
