Default Herbs and spices in cooking

So I was reading today that you should avoid rosemary in large amounts when cooking during pregnancy as it can cause miscarriage! Has anyone else read this? Are there any other herbs to avoid?

The key word is large amounts, I doubt any dish with the required quantities to cause miscarriage would be palatable. Herbs and spices are great!

It is safe, you'd have to eat amounts that only certain "herbivores" would eat to have any effect

    Bollocks.

I'm sure most of SE Asia, China, India and the middle east still use spices liberally thru pregnancy.

The amount of herbs you would have to consume would be much more than anyone would eat. Stop your scare mongering!

Large amount of anything is dangerous to our health especially during pregnancy. When I was pregnant, I have to do dental implant and it really hurts, I was unable to eat and it sure effected my baby.

Get hold of "Feeding the Bump" It's a pregnancy recipe book and one of the things in it is a list of herbs, what they go well with and how they can be used- ie to alleviate morning sickness. It's a really good list, I wish I still had the book so I could look at it now!
