    I was thinking the same thing

    We use bowls. I'd be better off just dumping it on the table/floor if we used plates.

    Generally a plate. I generally don't use spaghetti though, because I hate it... I use penne most often. It's not as hard to pick up as spaghetti so doesn't need that lipped edge of a bowl to assist.

    I use spaghetti bowls here. When I make bolognese it's pretty juicy, so a bowl stops it slopping about!

    When I make it I serve it in bowls and when dh makes it he serves it on plates.

    The only problem I found with bowls was we had these really deep ones that was just a bit too easy to overfill without realising.
