As soon as you get that first contraction or your waters break, then call an ambulance.

That said sometimes 3rd babies stuff around a bit and do something completely different to the other 2.

That's pretty much what our MW said to me. If I felt we weren't going to make it, don't leave home, call an ambulance and do it ourselves (we're informed, and prepared had that happened). Luckily for us, our MW lives close and would have been here before an ambulance if we needed it anyway.

Our MW also told us that 3rd babes are typically unpredictable. In our case, the pregnancy was unpredictable, the birth pretty similar, just faster!

Yep, My middie wants me to go straight in at the first contraction whether it's painful or not. I had silent labour with ds2 do I could pop a baby out before any pain.

I was expecting my third to be super fast. My midwives and OB thought it would be too. Nope.

    1st bub - 11 hours plus 4 days prelabouring 40+1

    2nd bub - 2h 50m from start to finish 40+1

3rd bub - well where do I count from? 2 days of failed induction plus 6 hours labour, plus 1 hour emergency csection? lol 39+1

I had made sure I had ambulance cover and never went anywhere far with my kids on my own.. but this third bub was way too comfortable inside! I 'should of' been a perfect candidate for induction but apparently not so. bub was posterior which made it alot harder and active labour was excruciating, much worse than my first two combined. cheeky monkey ....

I am thinking same thing my first dd 41plus 5 days 5hrs active labour
Ds was told he would be much quicker at abou 2.5 hrs only he was 2 days of horrible labour
Now ds2 I'm due in 5 weeks I'm hoping its nothing like my second and more like my first usually they say each is quicker but then each is different too.

I worry it will be to quick and I can't have a epidural though lol.
