You should be entitled to around $350 PPP and over $400 FTB a fortnight.

That would take your IN THE HAND income to the equivalent of a family earning $60k gross (so approx $49k net).

I assume your husband's income fluctuates a bit, but when you look at it from this perspective it's not quite so bad on Centrelink's part.
Yeah my understanding is your PPP is only touched when partner's income hits 1100 p/f. Which would fully correspond with your figure. You should be getting 350 PP, over 400 FTB which with your DH's income OP, makes 2k clear per fortnight? Maybe you need to see CL if you aren't getting that OP?

Is there any reason you aren't getting an exemption or claiming child support? I would look at addressing this issue to increase the amount you receive per fn.

Single parent pension is around 1100 for 2 kids. You are almost double better off. I would look at your outgoings, and maybe look at giving up smoking, or at least cut down to a pouch a fortnight.

I don't see how that is possible?

Have you seen a social worker at Centrelink about an exemption?

Jagamoe is entitled to come here to vent without people jumping down her throat giving unhelpful opinions if you don't have anything helpful to say why bother saying anything at all...she was simply saying that $7 won't cover anything and to see that that's all she's being paid was a shock and of course jagamoe and her dp will most likely reevaluate their budget and spending but come on if I saw I was only being paid $7 Id freak out and want to vent too...just saying

Can't anyone come on here anymore to have a vent without people getting all uppity (not sure if that's even a word ha!) twice today I've seen people getting all bent out of shape over someone's vent. Geez.

Don't like, don't agree, fine but let people vent. Holy bejesus. Remind me never to vent on BH again.

Can you see a different, more understanding social worker? I know some of them can be massive arses but if you stumble across the right one you might have more luck?
I had my exemption granted within minutes of walking in the door and no real questions asked.

I think most people have been trying to help the OP. Her payment was incredibly low given their minimal income. People wanted to ensure she wasn't being short changed.

Yeah I kinda agree... Op might of just been having a mccrappy day and wanted to get it out. She didnt ask for help or solutions or for everyone to chip in $5 or anything just a vent. My opinion on the money/amount is irrelevant. We all have days were we need a good ol bish
