Thepouts- aw that's so sweet. DH is taking the next day off as he'll be out late. That left me a little miffed as he whinged about using annual leave for going to Ubud in December and that was only using 3 days.

Nope not at all, he asked first and is taking time to spend the next day with you I'd only be upset if I got ditched on my birthday with no warning and no special time for me later

I'd be ok with it as long as he lets you have a girls night out in return.

Oh he's not taking the next day off to spend with me. It's only, cause he'll be out late and will be exhausted for work.
Maybe I am annoyed

I couldn't fathom a night out. DD is exclusively breastfed so attached to me at the hip.

Birthdays are really important to me so I would be really hurt. That being said, if it was a band he loved I'd tell him to go because bands don't get down under that often. As for having time the next day, he had better make it up to you!!

I'd be find with it. Unless you had plans, then I'd still be fine with it as long as it was discussed with respect that it was my birthday.

I'd be okay with it - it's just that night, right? I'd still have the morning and the following day to celebrate with him.
