Sand pits are like a magnetic field to my kids, never even crossed my mind to say no. Gosh the sandpits at DS school are out in the open and no way am I brave enough to tell him to stay out of it. No bad experiences yet anywhere thankfully.

Yep, at home, daycare & the park.

I've never had any problems with any of the parks we go to. If I thought there was going to be needles at a park I wouldn't be going there period. But we've never had a problem in all the ones we frequent :-)

    At daycare and school yes.

I'm a bit iffy if it's at a park. Just the thought of 'something' hidden in there freaks me out.

At the beach, well of course. Still have a bit of anxiety over it.

I detest sand though. I hate, hate, hate the feeling of it. Plus you can never ever completely get it out of the car. Argh!
