Hi everyone, So I have 3 kids and after my third I had my tubes tied in 2010. However, I have started to have signs of being pregnant... But! I have been on the pill since the last period and that was due to mensutral pains I was having for several months... So I don't take the white pills and just have the actual pill. So my last period was july 20 and so technically im only just late. so I have several questions.... can the pill work that fast where if I started last period that I will stop having my period as long as I don't take the white tablets? can u conceive after your tubes tied and has it happened to u. and what if I was to be pregnant and I was taking the pill what can happen? cheers hope this makes sense...

Hi! Whenever I restart the pill I have symptoms that strongly mimic pregnancy symptoms from the hormones and then they settled down after a month or two. I suspect this is what happened!
And the pill will work and 'skip' your period from the start. Take a test to be sure but most likely I reckon from the hormone changes!

If you don't take the white/sugar pills then you won't get a period. The pill maintains a constant level of hormone in your blood and taking the sugar pills causes a "withdrawal bleed". Therefore no sugar pills means no withdrawal bleed.
For your own peace of mind, do a pregnancy test, but I'd be stunned if it came back positive.
