I only have the one 11 month old, so plenty of time to work on these...
-Over the last few days I've been testing what objects my daughter knows by asking her "where's....". The ones she knows include "Ipad" and "Mummy's laptop".
-Most meals, I sit and eat with my daughter at the dining table... but have my laptop on and pay more attention to it than to her.
-I often leave her in her cot (in another room) if she's not upset in the morning instead of getting out of bed straight away. Usually only 5 or 10 minutes, but there have been times when I've lain there for up to an hour while she chatted away to herself in her cot.
I'll add to this if I think of anything else...

My boys are addicted to wii and youtube.
We eat junk at least once a week.
DD is a 'dont put me down babe', so we often cook meals from jars, skip baths and other horrible things.
My boys will ONLY wear trakkie daks
I've spent the last 9 days since getting home from hosp sleeping on the recliner with DD.... nights too...

This morning my daycare clients cancelled care. I have a list of chores a mile long to do. Instead:
We drove dh to work- so I can have the car and unexpectedly have a friend in need to visit- so I don't need to clean all day.
ds and I drove dh to work in our pj's; then went to maccas for hot cakes for brekky.
Ds is currently playing minecraft so I can clean- I'm on bubhub instead.
Ds thinks bubhub is my paperwork for daycare. And that I have a lot of it to do always.
with me being pregnant he gets far to much takeout, he gets sweet treats any day he eats fruit because I've given up on the food fight
im not consistent enough for rewards charts which means I suck at making permanent positive changes in Ds's behaviour.
he gets too much screen time as he isn't great with imaginative play and I suck at it.
He thinks Santa watches when he eats and if he's being fussy refusing to eat his dinner we have had to start sending him to bed hungry. Every time we do that he wakes up crying in the night that he won't get a present from Santa.
he drinks some if my tea every time I have it- he's 3.5 years old.
hes scared of his grandpa (who never really bothers to spend time with him, but grandpa wants cuddles the once a year we see him) we use grandpa as the reason to eat veggies/drink water/exercise/go to sleep- because grandpa is very unhealthy and Ds doesn't want to be like him (scary) and that's translated into scary comes from not eating good food etc.
he thinks socks aren't supposed to match- I don't think I've ever put him in matched socks
i think that's enough for today.
Im a horrible mum

This thread is giving me so many fantastic ideas on how to make this parenting gig a bit easier, so thanks a million everyone!
ATM, the toddler is at daycare and the baby is asleep in the car in the garage - he fell asleep on the way home and I didn't want to move him as he always wakes up when I do that, and he was awake almost all night last night with tummy cramps? teething? whatever the problem was. I'm sitting in front of the TV having a cup of tea instead of mopping the floors. Is that really bad (that he's in the car)? I've got all the doors open.
