I am currently trying to start up a kid’s party planning business, for those parents that don’t have the time to do it themselves but still want to make their little ones day special. I am trying to collate ideas from other parents, so that I can provide a wide range of choice but at reasonable prices
I will give you a bit of a background – I’ve got a little two year old boy, I have done both his 2nd and 1st birthday myself and have also arrange a few other girlfriends of mine kids parties. I have the access to get a photographer/ cake maker and catering.
What we are looking to offer parents is an all rounded company that can offer as little or as much help you need to make your little one feel special and for you to feel relaxed, and confident that everything will be done with a hassle. We can decorate, set up and clean up, this will save parents having to spend most of their time organising and can enjoy and remember their little ones party. We are looking to offer are themed parties for all ages, i.e.: Pamper Parties, Character Parties (Thomas, Disney Princess ECT)
I would be really interested in your input for all aspect of the business, if you have any ideas on what sort of party themes that I could provide. Any ideas will be much appreciates

I'd get vendors to offer custom cakes, cookies, cupcakes & cakepops, as well as custom make chocolates.
I'd include a personalized goody bag service, optional catering for adults as well as kids and even have a contact for pre and post-party cleaning.
I'd include themes such as;
Alice in Wonderland
Giggle & Hoot
Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Jake & the Neverland Pirates
Dora & Diego
Plus I'd offer baby naming/christening and baby shower options, as well as Christmas and Easter themes
Best of luck with your venture!!

I've just spent a ton on party supplies for DS 3rd birthday (cars) and my nieces. 9th (pool party) and i help out a lot with organising other peoples kids parties! these are the things that I have organised which would be good for you to offer, I buy most of my stuff overseas as there is a better range and its cheaper-
Invitations - have some templates with different themes and they just supply a photo and you design, print, put magnets on and post out - this can all be done on line and via email ( do thank you cards at same time)
Lolly buffett - I've bought my own jars, accessories and sourced wholesale lollies plus lolly bags/buckets personalised and in the theme but you could hire out the lot
Cake - have options for ice cream cakes and normal cakes, cupcakes, cookies, cake pops ect
Decorations- by theme to include table covers, balloons, helium tanks, flags, banners ect
Table ware : by theme , cutlery, plates, napkins, glasses, drink ware, platters, cake stands
Personalisation - I have banners, food tags, thank you cards, water bottle labels and favor boxes all personalised
Games and activities - have age appropriate entertainers, party games, animal farms, jumping castles ect ,
Food : catering, from finger food to sit down meals for different budgets , slushie machines, chocolate fountains, milkshake bars ect
Favors and prizes- have a range of themed party favors and prizes and gift bags
Lolly bags - I'm having the lolly buffett so guests can fill up their own bucket when they leave but have theme related ones available
Photographer/videographer - a good service to offer and or a photo booth
Set up/clean up service - hire tables/chairs gazebos and themed furniture plus clean up and garbage removal!
Hope that helps!
