    Default Hamilton Island

    Hi all,
    Happy Sunday!

    We are planning a family trip (4 adults, 3 kids) to Hamilton Island in the next couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend a good place to look for accommodation - we'd ideally like a house?

    Not sure where to look. Wotif mostly seems to have apartments.

    Hamilton Island Holiday Homes is who we used. They were great, easy to book with, changes were accommodated easily and you get the inclusions of a buggy, plus a portacot and high chair if required. Definitely recommend hiring a house

    I second the holiday homes and you'll need the free golf buggy to get around. You can still use the resort pools for free anyway but you get heaps more space, laundry, kitchen etc in an apartment. The clownfish club (childcare centre) is also really good depending on your kids ages. Food and groceries are really expensive so take as much with you as you can.

    Try Whitsunday holiday apartments, we stayed in one last November and was awesome! It's next door to the reef view hotel so you are still opposite the beach and also have easy access to all the pools plus you can just use the free shuttle service to get around the island which stops at the door of the apartments buggy hire through the island is quite expensive. Can I also suggest you stock up on groceries from Coles online who deliver to hamilton island - an
    absolute godsend as the general store in the marina is quite expensive. The Whitsunday apartments are self contained and the staff are wonderful, they truly went out of their way to make our stay amazing.
