    Default Infa-Secure Neon

I've read nothing but excellent reviews and love that it has higher markers for rear facing than other seats, and is good for small cars (which I have).

I already have a safe n sound convertible car seat (can't remember the name of it, but it's not the Compaq) but am considering getting the Neon instead and giving the SnS to my mum for her car.

Am I missing something or is it a great seat for a really reasonable price?

It's an excellent seat. Infa secure are fantastic. I have it for DS and he is still rear facing at 21 months. Cannot recommend it enough.

How old was your DS when he went into it? Do you think it'd be okay for a newborn or not enough padding?

He was around 8 months. We had a capsule first. I think it would be fine, it does have some padding. If you want more, you could pay a little extra and go for the Kompressor instead which is the same shell but a little fancier looking.

I read the reviews also and its highly recommended. I just got one last week for bub.
But was just thinking that seeing ut doesn't come with a car seat protector mat/messy mat, hope our leather seats will be safe

You could buy a car protector thingy? I've seen them at Babies R Us.

Thanks Emzluvbub, will check them both out. I can always use my safe n sound until he's a bit bigger anyway, as it has a lot of padding, and then switch over.

It really is just that fantastic! I've seen a lot of newbies in Neon's with no issues, but you could always go for the Kompressor XT/Caprice if you want more padding. I *think* it's about $250. It's the exact same shell as the Neon, just with plush padding and fabric, and a smaller base.

I've used it for my dd since she was born. There is less cushioning than other car seats but she's fine in it.

Keep an eye on big w they frequently have it on sale, I saw it for $108 a couple of weeks ago.
