    Because they use a finite amount of water. Generally when washing up people fill the sink at least half way and will often rinse under a running tap. When dishes are particularly dirty you often have to empty the sink and start again.

    Of course if you rinse your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher you lose the water saving advantage.

    I use Coles brand powder. Last I checked it equated to about 5c per wash and it works really well

    Guess I will be heading back to shops tomorrow to get more ! Won't last that long assuming i do 1 or 2 washes per day.

    That's a great price.

    The finish ones are really good. DH and I bought some other cheap ones last shop and they did not clean at all. We had to rewash everything by hand. Back to finish for us now

    I get mine from the reject shop - 90 tablets for $18 (Finish brand).

    Our local Rite Price grocery store also sells them for the same price sometimes.

    Total bargin. I bought a box yesterday and am going to get another 2 tomorrow haha!! So cheap! I only use the finish or fairy brands ive found other cheaper brands dont wash too well!

    That's a good bargain. When you run out of finish, try the Aldil logix complete i find it also very good. Whenever you have a small load, break the tablet in half to save.
