Last year I called Foxtel and told them I wanted to cancel my subscription because it was too expensive. I ended up getting our package from $95 down to about $74 for 12 months. That 12 months has just expired so I'm going to call them again to see what they can do to keep me, I'm sure they'll offer me a second foxtel box or HD for $95 per month, but I'd prefer to just keep what we've got right now and pay less for it. Just wondering if anyone else has negotiated a discounted rate and how much you're paying, just so I've got an idea of what I should work towards?

We got Foxtel put on earlier this year (around Feb/March I think) and the deal we got was $60 per month for the essentials package plus sports.
This is about the maximum I'm will to pay for Foxtel.

We got foxtel tell on a couple weeks ago the deal we have is $43 for the essentials pack & $14 a month for the entertainment pack for the first 6 months then after 6 months it will go up to $70+. This is the first time we have had it but when the 12 months is up I think I will be seeing what deal we can get again cheap lol.

I was paying $97 including sport but I called them and they would only discount it for 3 months for $75
I'll definitely be cancelling after the 3 months is up unless someone can recommend how to get it cheaper!.
12 months is a great discount!!

They wouldn't do any discounts for us when we called a few weeks back & taking away 1 box incl iq wouldn't have made much of a difference although its hard to tell if they were being honest. We are reassessing because its too expensive & most shows are constant repeats.

When I first connected I asked about the package I wanted and then said it was too expensive. They rang back a few days later and offered a better deal. The people you ring can't always discount so it's worth waiting a few days and someone (from a different department). I can remember how much we saved but I was really happy. Just some advice, don't bother with the movie channels. I haven't watched a good movie on there. Ever!
