    This exactly. Perfectly said.

So alcohol is legal. Marijuana is not. Why? People can get alcohol induced psychosis as well, so that argument means zilch to me. But it's still legal because the government allows it to be, because it can be taxed, street marijuana can not.
You know what, I'd rather bump into a person affected by weed in a dark alley than a person absolutely off their face on booze.
And we're talking "medicinal THC", not a free for all, not making it legal for dealers to sell to children on the street corner.
For the record, I don't smoke marijuana or take any other drug for that matter, but I do drink alcohol. I have taken Valium in the past for panic/anxiety problems and I gotta say, Valium feels much the same to me as Marijuana does (Yes, I have tried it in my teens).

    Agree marigold.

I have seen several alcohol withdrawal seizures too and they were truly terrifying. I hate alcohol.

Alcohol is the biggest killer, isn't it? But because it's legal people view it differently It's accepted by society. At the end of the day, they are all mind altering substances but it's accepted for someone to have a few glasses of wine (hell, it's "un-Australian" not to ) yet people lose their sh!t at the very notion of, say, an elderly cancer patient using medicinal marijuana..??? It makes no sense!

Poeple can DIE from alcohol withdrawal. But hey, as long as it's legal...

Completely agree. It seriously does my head in. Like seriously baffles and boggles and wiffles my mind!

Benzos and alcohol and methadone are pretty much the only drugs where the withdrawals can directly kill you. Legal drugs
