I randomly picked up from the newsagent on the weekend the National Geographic Real Life Bugs & Insects book for my son. It came with a scorpion on the front.
He is over the moon and wants to collect the rest of the issues.
I've just called one newsagent and she said they come out fortnightly, issue 2 being next Thursday.
I called a second newsagent, and she said weekly.
I have seen the ad on TV for these but wasn't really listening to it.
Does anyone know about these books and bug collections and when and how often they come out?

We got a national Geo gems mag and it was weekly. So I'd assume they would be the same.

Is it possible to 'subscribe' at the newsagent? I get the Sunday paper delivered but I know they can just hold the paper for me in store. Would they do that for you with the magazine?

I think they were both very unsure.
I will see if I can subscribe.
Hopefully I can as my son is obsessed with bugs and critters

The magazine should come with a note for newsagent to hold the magazine for you when it comes out. I have seen them in all the ones i have bought over the years.
