    I don't know how anybody can deny tony Abbott's negative, attack dog style. It has impacted on australian politics. I notice it isn't as dirty now that Julia Gillard is not pm.

    Abbott isn't responsible for or plays any part in the negative political climate right now? Really??? The labor party could cure cancer and Abbott would have a problem with it.

    I just asked my husband what he thought of that thought (about Abbott not playing a part in or being responsible for the negative political climate right now) and he laughed, saying they're both responsible but Abbott is constantly negative to the point that it bores him. DH is a swing voter, has no idea which party he'll vote for---he's not as far left as me.

    Yes, but that was the whole point of my comment. It was very tongue in cheek - quite clearly so, I thought. The whole chardy/latte sipping lefty comments are the most ridiculous statements ever, so I thought it was pretty obvious I was taking the P out of them.
