    Default Medical Q regarding fever

Ds is approaching 4yrs old. He has a very high temp (39.3)
He is sleeping on me now after having some panadol. Temp is now around 38.5.
Silly question, but it's now almost 4pm should I let him sleep for as long as he needs??
Normally he goes to bed 7.30pm, but if he has a day nap he doesn't normally fall asleep until after 9pm (and being so late now, it could be later)
In not sure what to do.

I would leave him sleeping. My 4 year old did the same thing recently, and when she woke her fever had broken. I think sleep is the best thing when you are sick!

My 5 year old had a temp about a month ago and she slept for most of the day. I was prepared for her to not sleep well that night but she actually did. When she woke the next morning the temp was gone and she was back to normal.

My DD is about the same age and had the same kind of temp about 2 weeks ago. She asked to go to bed (gave up day sleeps ages ago), slept for 4hrs and the temp was gone. She still went to bed at 7pm.
